#91: Time Is On Your Side

Use it to your advantage

As much as we as men want to pride ourselves on our vetting skills—or beat ourselves up for the lack of them—vetting really isn’t a good strategy. While there are incredibly obvious markers that you shouldn’t date someone in the beginning—like a herpes infection, a husband that’s currently in jail, or she’s a lawyer—most of the time women put their best self forward and keep the façade going for longer.

This statement worries men. Men have been downloaded with the neuroticism of women when it comes to dating and think that one false move by her is going to ruin their life. While yes, women do have the power to make your life uncomfortable, they are not out to get you. Often, men opt into dating crazy women for the good sex and validation. They usually opt in.

So what’s left when you’re trying to date women and figure out who they are? Time. As a man, Father Time is more forgiving to you and often even boosts your attractiveness. Big Feminism wants you to believe that men “hit the wall” too, but we really don’t. As long as you’re not incompetent and continue to take care of yourself, it will be a long time before women stop finding you attractive. So use it.
